To apply for a Young Leaders scholarship, a CC and the individual must complete a general scholarship application in addition to the application on this page.


The regional teams, including a representative from the Young Leaders Program planning team, will evaluate the Young Leaders scholarship applications from their own regions and make allocation recommendations to the Young Leaders Program planning team and global office.  The global office will receive the final recommendations and inform the individual, their CC and their regional staff when a scholarship is offered.

  1. 5)Share your experience with youth activities and/or leadership training.  What programs for young leaders have you participated in before?

  2. 6)Why do you want to participate in this Young Leaders program of the URI Global Assembly? What interests you personally about the theme – “Taking the Initiative: The Role of Youth in Global Interfaith Action”? How do you intend to apply the skills in your life?

  3. 7)One of the key objectives of this youth program is for the participants to take what they have learned back to their home communities, schools and work and to initiate a local follow-up project or initiative. Each participant is asked to commit to carrying out a follow-up project or initiative following the youth program. Please describe in 100-200 words the kind of project you would like to initiate, or particular area of focus you would like to work on.

  4. 8)Are you currently running an interfaith project or initiative that you would like to present about during the Young Leaders program? If so, please describe this project briefly and how you would like to present it. We will be in touch to let you know if we have space in the program for your presentation.
